11 things that must happen for Orlando to get a 3rd bowl game

The coalition hoping to launch a new bowl game in Orlando knows it faces a tough battle.

The group has spent the past year working to clear numerous hurdles and establish a bowl game that will benefit local breast-cancer charities. The game is tentatively scheduled to be played in December at Bright House Networks Stadium on the UCF campus.

The obstacles are a big reason bowl organizers are asking community members to visit their Web site, orlandosportsfoundation.com, and consider supporting the new game.

"We need to show the NCAA that the community is behind this bowl game," said John Rhodes, one of the bowl organizers. "This won't work if we don't have strong community support." (Read More)
